Most lakes and streams are managed according to two schools of thought:

    1. Put in as many smaller fish as possible, figuring that high catch rates will please the public.

    2. Regulate the water (lures, length restrictions, etc) to produce larger fish, but a lower catch rate.

How many of you would prefer a trip where you caught 35 10-inch rainbows, or four 19-inch rainbows?

(yes, I know the ideal would be 35 20-inch rainbows, but it ain't happening around here)

19inch rainbow would be idea. The less quanity of fish would make the fisherman tackle and gear to be more of a determining factor and of course locating the fish.
