Q:what about the flies

    I was talking to an old timer at the store a few minutes ago and he said the best thing to throw on you're partial gutted game is regular black table pepper. It will keep the flys off the meat.


    Is this true or was this guy pulling my leg.

    It is true!
    Works even in Colorado,in high country, and will keep the blow flys away... 'To a degree.'

    BTW... The larger, hard ground black pepper is the best.
