At one time, there was a company offering a .410 load with buckshot. I can't remember the size, but I think it was a #1 buck load set up for home defense.

Let me clarify, this is bigger than #5 birdshot, not slugs or buck.

4 is the biggest bird shot I've seen for the .410.

I've also seen (and have some around somewhere) OO and OOO Buckshot. IIRC OO is 4 or 5 pellets and OOO is 3 pellets.

    {Remington Express in #4, #6 & #7 1/2

    http://www.remington.com/ammo/shotshell/expelrshl.htm

I use the Express in #6 and like it alot. Though it can be hard to find, Wal-Mart and Dick's usally carry it. Though I havn't seen the #4 Express in a long time.

Thanks, that 's what I was looking for. My dad sworn that he had some of this also in #4s but I thought it was in #5s ( i guess don't bet your pops ). It looks most other ammo mfg don't have 5s but only #4s as the top in the field loads.
