Have you been tracking Jupiter and Saturn as well? They have been putting on a pretty good show every evening shortly after sunset for a while now.

Not to worry, check the southern sky shortly after sunset. Jupiter will be the bright one, and Saturn will be less bright and about 1 1/2” to the left and up slightly.

If you are interested in these things there is a great app called Skywatch for your smartphone. It does cost $2.99 I think, but it is very easy to use. I only follow the planets and moon phase, but that app does constellations too.

I have "startracker" its way better than Google sky map, which always wants to recalibrate, and never seems to track correctly

    SkyView Lite is free.
It does throw a screen up asking you to upgrade at startup, but I just X out of that.
SkySafari Pro is much better but it costs $40

Y'all are kidding, right? Those aren't stars and planets, they are holes in the wrapper so we can breathe!
