Well, my Lone Wolf .357 Sig barrel came this afternoon:banana: No work today so I took it to my backyard shooting range, and ran 50 rounds of Remington Express 125 grain hollow points through it. I got excellent accuracy with the barrel, and the recoil was very manageable. I can't wait to get a coyote with this setup.

    Nice one!
This is actually a fairly common conversion over here because .40 caliber is illegal for the average civilan (can't own anything over .38 without a special permit) so guys fit 357sig barrels to G35 to make a Glock that will shoot major PF and still be legal to own.

I just ordered a Para 16 40, and it's going to be my new IPSC gun pretty soon, so I am going to retire my G24. I am going to convert it to 357 sig. I should get some unreal velocities out of it. I can't wait to start reloading for it. I just love the boom, and the feel of the fast rounds. I have pushed my 10mm as far as I can get it safely. Now it is time for 357 sig. I think I need to go to rehab. "Hello, my name is Glockadict, and I'm a velocity whore."

    Glockadict,
What kinda of velocities do you think you'd get out of a 24 with the .357 sig conversion? Since you mentioned pushing the 10mm to it's limits, what is your favorite load for that? Given any thought to the 9x25 Dillon?

I am hoping to get 1650 to 1700 FPS, with a 125 gr bullet. I am pushing a 135 gr Nosler over 1800 FPS out of my G20 with a 6" KKM barrel. I figure it is not going much past that safely. The load I use is 13.2 gr of Longshot, with a CCI Magnum primer, @ 1.260. It's posted in the 10mm reloading forum under Hodgdon. I push 155 gr XTP's between 1650 and 1700 FPS. I thought about 9x25 Dillon, but brass is harder to get than 10mm.

I've been thinking about getting a SIG barrel for my G24. The .357 round should really smoke from that long barrel!
