If that's NIB and not LNIB, you got a great deal.

Nothing wrong with the Hydra Shoks.

    Don't know about a 'reasonable priced' pre-ban.

Give a look see over at: Don Hume Leather . Check out their model 715IWB. Sells for about $26 plus $10 shipping. Great little holster. Comes in clip on, belt loop, with or w/o retention. Their other models are really nice, also.

    I carry Speer Gold Dots...in my 23c
    good round, yes...

but primarily carry them b/c they are the same round as our local PD.

God forbid I ever have to shoot someone in self-defense, I don't want some liberal prosecutor painting me to be some vigilante b/c I carry some alleged exotic ammunition. Our police protect and serve w/ Gold Dots...certainly they're not vigilantes...

    just my view...
I understand there will undoubtedly be as many opinions as posts...
May check out www.ammolab.com and get a little insight, too?

i second speer gd's.gold dot 165 gr has 485 lbs of energy and more that enough bullet weight to penetrate well. best .40 out there for the money and one of the best period. 180 grain will be slower but penetrate well, i like medium weights in whatever caliber. 165 is the best in .40 imho. best, pony

The cheapest hi-cap i have seen is with keisleronline.com at $50, prices seems to be dropping towards September of next year. Might be a good sign. squadman

GlockWalk....I carried 135 grn Corbon when I owned a 23. At the time
it was a called the flying ash tray...made by speer. I have no
idea if they are still using the same bullet though.

If you really want to stir something up in GT, just ask what the
best round is. Their are many fine rounds available now that
were not available several years ago.

Read the previous posts on your question...IMHO they are all good
    rounds for your 23.

Also check out ammolab.com for bullet comparisons. Happy shooting
GlockWalk! FWIW I now shoot Gold Dots, rangers and Golden Sabers.

the money you spend on high caps could be put to better use in ammo.

High caps (extra 2 rounds) $50+

money for hi caps used towards ammo = ;I

if you need more mags just get Glock factory 10 rounder's for $10-$20

Thanks for all the replies! I decided to skip out on the pre-ban mags for now; the extra 2rounds isnt worth it to me. Still trying to decide on a holster though!
