After spending 11 years with a well trained, layed back golden who's body was not able to do sar any longer I thought it was time to start a new dog. Along comes a 6 mo old choc lab, my god what have I gotten myself into?? I had forgotten what a handful puppies can be. chewing everything in site, running 24/7, "NO" - whats that mean?, swimming in the water bowl, rolling in the mud & run for the house.

Puppy does have a good nose and loves to hunt for cadaver scent. I think he is going to be a good one if we survive this puppy stage.

Congrats Wimpy. I know exactly what you are talking about, although I appreciate the reminder as I've had the puppy itch lately.;) Our chocolate male, Kody, is 5 now and sooooo much more laid back than he used to be.

Good luck with him and post some pics when you can.
