Oh Man! I'm having to take a couple days or maybe a week or two off. I was performing heavy squats, when I felt a pain in my lower left side of my back. That was 2 days ago. My back is sore to the touch and really stiff. 550lbs one rep box squat I made the squat but paid the price. Powerlifting contest in April.
Man, that stinks. I feel your pain because I'm apparently injury-prone nowadays.
If you feel around in that area can you feel a specific muscle that's knotted up and painful to the touch? I've read recommendations for trying to massage away problems like that. Might be worth a try.
