I finally got to dip my toes into the Blackout pool. I'm happy to say this upper is working well for me so far. This and the Vortex crossfire 2 should do great during deer season. Checkout the video!

The only cost effective way to shoot much 300 Blk. is to reload for it.

A old friend gave me close to 5000 once fired LC 5.56 cases so once the WFT came I've got 300 reformed cases in addition to the factory cases, for even more fun. SJ 40

Yeah. I'm looking to get in dies etc.
Making .300 AAC cases (from .223) was a bit more tedious than I counted on. If you are hunting (ie. not shooting a lot) it is not too bad. Plinking + 3 gun however, you don't want to lose the cases you worked to make.

I used the harbor freight cut-off saw:

In my opinion, If you are wanting a sub-sonic suppressed gun, a PCC/PC-SBR is a lot more practical. The .300 AAC is a lot more trouble and a lot more expensive (if you don't cast your own bullets).

If you want a relatively short range .30 cal hunting upper, it is a pretty good choice.

I bought a PSA 300 BLK upper a couple of months ago. It is well built and looks and shoots great. I am very pleased with it.

Remington UMC and Federal AE 300 BLK supersonic ammo is reasonably priced at Cabelas and Academy Sports. Ammo can be bought in bulk online. I'm saving the brass to reload. I shoot it sometimes at the range but mostly use it for hunting deer and hogs. I use my 5.56 rifles for higher volume shooting. So, 300 BLK can be used at the price of most other centerfire rifles.

It seems like the 300 BLK has softer recoil and little flash. The 110 Barnes ammo did a number on the raccoon I shot recently. I will shoot a large boar with it next week.
