I've got him beat - I don't fly with a starter pistol in my checked baggage - I always fly with a REAL pistol! :tongueout:

The only time I've ever lost a bag was the one time I didn't have a firearm in my luggage.

Someone should tell the Irish guy who relocated to WV. His gun cleared customs and immigration at JFK from the UK, and somehow grew legs after that point.

Last time I traveled, I only took a carry on.
I ups'd my Xmas gifts and some clothes for $18 (that's cheaper than Delta's $25/bag)

on return, I wasn't worried about my clothes since they needed to be washed anyway so I crammed 5 days worth into a trash bag and put it in my backpack. Carried my laptop in another backpack with my iPod and a few DVDs (I was allowed 1 carryon bag and 1 "personal" bag (purse or *ding* laptop case). No one questioned me about the extra backpack.
