About 4 month ago I got the bug for a big HD high cap pistol. I also wanted something all weather that would work for fishing trips to Idaho. So naturally my search led me to the g20. My middle brother decided to jump in and order one with me. (he knows I'll do all the hard work of working up loads and tricking the guns out) Well since my brother and I got our g20's my dad got one, our hunting buddie got one, and my youngest brother is trying to dump a 3" .45 1911 to finance a g20. We've been screwing around with picky 1911's for so long my dad finally seen the light. Between my brothers and I's g20 we've gone around 7 thou. Rounds with ought a hitch!

Very cool. My bro and dad are still in the denial stage.. but they'll come around after we find an opportunity to get together for some range time with my '20, with proper full-power ammo.

All it will take is a trip or two to the range. What got my dad is when he was shooting my gun he noticed how flat the recoil was and how easy it was to shoot compared to his 1911 shooting hardball. What he could not believe was that the load he was shooting has twice the M.E of his .45!

Field results make an impression. My brother, and two
nephews were helping me track a muzzleloader shot deer,
that didn't go according to plan. It was well after dark
when we caught up to it, and it was sick but very alive.
All we had was my G20SF, loaded with 180 gr. XTPs, at
around 1250 fps out of the stock Glock barrel I had in the
pistol at the time(left the 6" KKM in the cabin). At ~30
yards walking away, the 180 gr. XTP, hitting the back of
the neck about 8" below the base of the head, folded said
wounded deer like a cheap tent. My magnum loving wheel
gun brother took notice. The 180 gr. XTP did not just
shock the spine, it shattered it. My 1911 has turned into a
    safe queen, and range gun.
