I cannot get Quicktime to work wit FF or IE7. It worked until a few days ago and quit. The only changes to the system were made with Advanced Windows Care 2 and nothing out of the ordinary at that. I have run that same scan and clean several times with no ill effect. Also did a defrag after the AWC2 was finished.

I Googled this issue and checked everything I could find on it and still get nothing but a Q? image.

    Any ideas?

Some people claim VLC Media Player works even better than QuickTime Alternative, mainly because it also plays Divx by default.I think the codecs can be added to QTA though.

Thanks DC, I tried to reinstall QT and nothing. Just installed VLC and no help.

My trouble is inside the browsers. Example, goto MYMMS. Click custom printing. The 2 big M&M's are not there, just the Q? image.

I just tried Opera and QT does not work within it either.

    This is becoming very frustrating.:headscratch:

I use QuickTime Alternative and I know somebody that had it and added an Ipod and required real Quicktime. He got a message that QuickTime Alternative had to be uninstalled or QuickTime Alternative required Quicktime be uninstalled.QuickTime Alternative works normally for me except some certain video's directly from Apple and then I get a meassage that it's best viewed by downloading and saving to view instead of streaming but other Quicktime streams work.Have you rebooted your PC?
