When I was just starting out as a concealed carrier, I had to fight the urge to constantly elbow-check my G19 to make sure it was still perfectly in place. I'm finally to the point where I don't feel the need to do that much anymore.

Lately though, I've been carrying my 442 snubbie a lot, and am encountering a new kind of problem- it's so light and comfortable iwb, I feel the need to constantly elbow-check just to make sure the damn thing's there!

Not as much gun as the 19, but I sure do love it.

    Happy New Years everyone!

Got my wife some new crimson trace grips for her 442. Been fun banging the snapcaps in the family room trying to keep the dot still.

The J frame is a joy to carry daily.Just make sure you have a good and secure holster and you don't have to worry abouyt it.

Light and small is a GOOD thing! A 442 is on my list of things to purchase as soon as I'm able.

More carry time will eventually equate with you not worrying about it.

They sure are a good concealable firearm. Lots of practice is key.

And the CT + snapcaps certainly don't hurt.

I alternate between my 442 and G23. I love them both. I prefer to cc the 23, but the 442 goes in the front pocket so easily, it has been getting more attention lately.

I also have a 442 and love it. I carry in a Kramer front pocket holster, which works very well. You can't beat a J-frame for reliability and ability to conceal, but I'm in the market for a PM40 to replace the 442. They're shorter both in height and length, and they are more narrow by about .35 on an inch.

Get a Mika pocket holster and pocket carry. Then you'll know where it is. :)

I guess I didn't make my sarcasm completely clear...

I'll always want to have as much gun on me as possible, but as a person who is forced to "dress up" quite a bit, in situations where being made would be a nightmare, you just can't beat that little guy

I live and work in a rather crap area. When I get home, and my primary pistol comes off, my 442 goes into my pocket. I've pocket carried a J frame for close to 35 years. Everytime I've sold one, I miss it and have to buy another one.
