With the prize certificate from the Dawsonville random drawing, I selected a 4th gen G27.

It showed up at the office today and when I say it is new, I mean new. Arrived on 11-9-2011; test fired 11-4-2011.

    Again

How about the RO gifts for the Dawsonville match? Or did mine get lost in the mail?

:) I finally figured it out and gave up on tangible RO gifts. Using my RO gift as a match entry (to shoot Bama's dot gun this past weekend) worked out perfectly - though my score didn't! Oh well, another chance in the hat for a random.

I had the certificate in hand when I left the range...So double there.:tongueout: Then on Monday I gave it to my friend who has a FFL who sent it in.

James, I also haven't received my RO stuff yet.

Congratulations on the new Glock! I am kind of suprised you went with a G27 though. Are you going to compete with it or is this a carry gun? I thought you shot 9mm's.

    I carry a G27. Love it.

I think he's 'thinking' bout shooting it, based on his questions bout .40 reloading.

Mike, I am at the point where no matter what I get, except the GAP models, will lead to duplication.

I currently use a 17, 26 and 30sf for GSSF but I think I can reload .40 cheaper than I can buy 9mm and I KNOW I can get .40 brass easier cheaper than I can get 9mm. I want to try .40 for competition and see what happens.

My plan is a 4th gen 22 anda 4th gen 27 to start as I have them both now and then decide what to build into an unlimited gun. Once I start reloading, my bulk 9mm steel case ammo will go towards practice with the unlimited 17c. Hopefully reloading leads to more ammo, which leads to more practice, which leads to lower scores . That is the plan anyway. Will it work? We will see.

As for carrying the 27, I already carry a 27 with Warren tactical rear and ns front.

You'll be enjoying the feeling real soon Frank. Besides, this gun was a random prize because I shot like pooo-poo at Dawsonville:faint: and had to rely on luck since skill failed me:embarassed:

Bama - you cause the interesting questions. I picked up a random pistol last night, I looked to see the date test fired, it was 11/4/2011, I picked it up on the 9th. Would not even have thought to look except through your excitement in your post.
