Powder Valley has Wolf small and large pistol primers available, for any one who needs them.
Just about every where I've looked has stuff in stock now and the prices are coming back down here locally.
To what $
Central Mi. $40 for CCI $59 for BR
$3.20/100 CCI primers here in the NE Kansas, KC Metro area, Federal were $4.05.
Same here. Availability and selection is back up; and prices are coming down a little bit.
Wolf seems to be the one that is really keeping up w/ demand... I can never find Winchester in stock. Wolf regularly is in stock at Wideners however.
Ya know....I haven't seen any Winchesters since mid summer last year.
Not in Kommiefornia & I expect it to only get worse when the new anti ammo law kicks in in 2011.
Exactly, this is the reason why me and my boss keep a good supply of reloading stuff - stacking up where we could and save up before the hard time comes.
To the OP, thanks for the heads up...
Sounds about right... My last run I picked up at Natchezss around August I do believe. It sucks, cuz of their 5k limit.... Paid several hazmat charges, but got what I wanted.
well they were at $49 per thousand during the rush. now they are at $33 per thousand. that is for cci. my local store has cci, winchester, federal, and remington primers on the shelves.
Having some wolf primers in stock isn't the end of a shortage.
the end of the shortage is when you can get any primer you want with a phone call for immediate delivery.
Getting wolf primers is like getting a date with the prom queens ugly step sister. Its still a date not just what you wanted.
Hey, at this point I'll take the ugly sister... hell, I'll even consider the toothless grandmother. Oh, we're talking about primers... sorry.
I haven't had any troubles at all with the Wolfies. I know a guy that reloads for competition shooters and Wolfies have been just about all he has been able to use/get for the last year. He has no issues either out of tens of thousands. ( I actually used him as a guinea pig before I got any.)
I pray Washington does not do anything dumb and cause reloading supplies to go to HIGH demand again.
I've only just started poking my head in here the last couple of weeks as I'm starting to load pistol ammo, and I have to say you guys are a kick in the pants.
A kick in the pants is better than a kick in the junk.
Don't hold jack against the rest of us, the rest of us are pretty close to sane.
I'll second that one.
The butler came out and said that I was being made sport of on the forum... I didn't even need to stop waxing the Bentley to figure out it was Indy.
Now I have to put it and the Rolls in storage before I fly to the Riviera for the remainder of the winter... life can be so hectic sometimes.
well today i stopped in the local guns store. they just got in several cases of cci small pistol primers. so i asked the owner how much for 1,000. he looked me in the eye and said, $40.00. well i did not need them for that price. now i know why i don't stop in that store. this was the first time in six months.
