Price Drops for Media Cards

    It looks like compact flash card prices are falling and not just at Wally World.
    I see 1GB SanDisc Ultra II for about $95 and 1GB Type I for $79.
    512MB cards are under $50 and about $10 more for the Type II.

    It was not that long ago I paid $50 for a 256MB card.

    I paid $40ish for my 64mb CF card over a year ago.

    Hmmm....got me a 32mb, 64mb, now I want a gig!

    Got a Lexar 80x 512MB for $75 on sale at Fry's this weekend. Didn't realize what a great deal that was, going back today to see if they are still on sale.

    Am told that Lexar 80x is 12MB/sec. and Sandisk Ultra II is 9 write/ 10 read.

    You can do better with a Sandisk Ultra II 1G for $95 shipped from Amazon and others.

    I misread the first post. Thought it was $95 for 512MB. Thanks for the heads up.
