I was at Pier One at the Fort last night and the guard spotted my Endura Wave in my right front pocket. He found it visually, without frisking. He knew exactly what it was and was courteous and a very discrete about asking me to leave it with him while I was in the establishment. I agree and later commended him on properly screening for weapons. Of course I went in with my palm stick in my left pocket but his failure to spot that is forgivable. In a bar or restaurant there are literally dozens of weapons on the tables that can be used in a fight. You can only do so much.. Still, I was quite impressed by the security. Judging by the sign at the entrance, they realize that some people - those who think the rules don't apply to them - will come with weapons and might insist on bringing them in. To have an establishment train their guards well enough to do the job properly is quite rare here. I've walked into every mall and so many building with weapons, often 2 or 3 on me, and this is the first time I've been accosted. Pier One is with me on security. A little more training on improvised weapons and neck knives and ok na sila.
