I want to buy a pressure cooker for small things: rice, beans, etc.

I understand that the newer generation models are easier to use than Mom's old "spitting monster".

    Anyone?

    Stainless? Aluminium? Brand?

I replaced my old aluminum monster with smaller, stainless steel model made by Presto.

I've got a Fagor Duo. Its got one big pot and one smaller one that work with the same lid. I rarely use the smaller pot.

    Risotto man! Risotto!
Its a 25 minute job, start to finish with the p-cooker.

    Artichokes.... 18 minutes.

Any kind of stewed meat dish (pot roast, corned beef brisked stringy beef BBQ, etc) 1/3 the normal cook time.

I do a lot of pork sholder for Carnitas...hour, hour and a quarter or so.
