I'm sure the DOJ or some UN agency will be along shortly to declare that they are seeking indictments for this act of unprovoked aggression....

Awesome... if it happens more often, Somali pirates will think long and hard before pulling this nonsense.

Oh no! Not those evil security contractors again!!!! LOL!!

By the way, they are paid aroune $300-$500 per day while at sea depending on the company worked for. The $500 is few and faaaar between. I am sure there are better and worse pay rates out there but that is what I have seen.

I still think there's a market for pirate hunting cruises. Get a tanker, reinforce key areas, put in some hardened and camouflaged firing positions around the deck, and go a'trolling for pirates! Charge for passage, food, gun rental, ammo, etc. discount if you bring your own. Have a few heavy hitters (say MK19s, M2s, etc) available for a higher fee than the standard stock of AKs/ARs/FALs.

I loved the part where you hear a voice say, "Go ahead. Warning shots." Then both shooters empty their mags.

I hope the pirates were all gut shot.

There are some things that are just really done so much better with an RPG.
I would sign up in a minute at $300.
This could be part of "Shark Week" if you worked it right.

Not only did they both unload, but it looked (on my phone at least) like they were pretty much shredding the boat right from the get-go. And I have no problem with that at all

    Paying or beng paid?

I don't know about $300 per week, but I'd probably take a long think about doing it for $300 per day....

It certainly looks like my idea of a good time. Kind of reminds of when I was a teenager and we would go to the dump and shoot rats. A 500 round brick of .22's only cost $4.99 and a 6 pack of beer was 89 cents!

    I miss those days.

    Sometimes here, sometimes there
Or they'll get better at it. Tactics evolve.

Those poor pirates, one of them could have been killed. :crying: I'm sure they're going to turn their lives around after that one last ship jacking, they just needed money to go to college.

The first Somali skiff still made it to the merchant ship and impacted the hull.

Had there been explosives, that would have been a solid "hit" to the hull

You Sir, are correct. I was hoping to avoid the cost of the tour by volunteering to do it for free with only needed supplies provided by the host.tom.:whistling:

True, but it's kind of hard to do pirate stuff, like loot, pillage and rape, when you blow yourself up with your prize.
