Still don't understand when people post that gun shows have turned to crap. Guess it's all about what you're looking for.

Today I snagged a S&W 1917 Commercial Model, .45 acp. It's not 100%, but it's a solid 90%er and the mechanics are 100%. These are a tad rarer than the military 1917s and IIRC, this one was made around 1923 or so.

Not bad for 98 years old. :)

Gun shows aren't all crap...just not anything like in their hey day (70's 80's)
But the occasional gem can still be found if one attends enough shows and knows their stuff

Call me crazy but that little bit of where it has makes it more nostalgic to me. Then if it was new in the box.Makes me think who used it.It has a history too bad we don’t know what it is.If you do find out any history on it let us now

Chop the barrel, convert the grips to K frame round butt, night sights, and coyote ceracoat.
