Don't forget Manila Waldorf School :) - it is a non trad school that would develop the individual being before the empirical. One small problem is we are moving to Timberland. Not a bad thing actually - cleaner air and surrounding and it isn't that far naman it is just a few minutes away from Batasan
:) We don't own it but our kids are studying there.

they offer free one week trial just in case the kid or the parent backs out. They also offer two weeks training for the yaya like how to prepare snacks, and what not to wear. ( my son's yaya like to wear short shorts and plunging necklines shirt)

    Funny these schools
They will have childrens programs and will require the parents to attend kahit middle of work week.
Pag di ka pumunta ( like me ) kukunsensyahin ka nung teacher. Akala yata nila , nanunuod ka lang nang TV sa bahay maghapon

YUP!!! That is what is needed - funny how some parents think that it is up to the school / school system only to give those values. But unavoidable ang mga heartaches na binibigay talaga ng mga bata sa mga magulang :) - Now I know what my parents went through. Ika nga it is payback time

Oh the waldorf would be in Timberland San Mateo. Acacia is similar but a totally different school.

    Sinabi mo.

I have an adopted daughter. She's 8 years old now. I had to spank her one time and she was fighting back yelling I have no right to spank her. Schools have no right to tell me how to raise my kids

If you have the finances might as well send your kid to the finest school money could afford.

    As for bringing up my children I abide by these guidelines;

    * karapatan na maisilang at magkaroon ng pangalan at nasyonalidad
    * karapatan na maging malaya at magkaroon ng pamilyang mag-aaruga
    * karapatan na mabigyan ng sapat na edukasyon
    * karapatan na mapaunlad ang kasanayan
    * karapatan na magkaroon ng sapat na pagkain at tirahan at malusog at aktibong katawan
    * karapatan na matutuhan ang mabuting asal at kaugalian
    * karapatan na mabigyan ng pagkakataon na makapaglaro at makapaglibang
    * karapatan na maigyan ng proteksiyon laban sa pagsasamantala, panganib at karahasang bunga ng mga paglalaban
    * karapatan na manirahan sa isang payapa at tahimik na pamayanan
    * karapatan na maipagtanggol at matulungan ng pamahalaan
    * karapatan na makapagpahayag ng sariling pananaw.

If I could continue to provide these basic rights I guess I am on the right track.

Sakin , the biggest reason you should send your kids to the best schools is one of the biggest influences sa kanila ay kaklase/barkada
Kung maganda yung school , theoreticlly , maayos din mga bata na napasok dun
By best school it's not necessarily expensive
there are public highschools na may pilot section , where they put all the nerds in one class
