For those of you who don't know, One-eyed Jack is my cat, and she hasn't eaten that I know of in 5 days. Won't eat her dried food (that she usually loves), won't eat her treats, won't eat table scraps, She won't even eat tuna. And she's moving around very slow. I don't know whats wrong with her, and I'm leaving to take her to the vet in about an hour. We would appreciate your prayers for her.

    Walter...........

Is it something with her heart?? Keep us updated my friend......

Joshua, the siamese I lost a year ago quit eating out of the blue, would not eat anything......

He had Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a thickening of the heart muscle and it progressive. It broke my own heart when I lost that boy.

Hopefully for you, that is not what it is, maybe a bad tooth or something........

Post when you get some news.......

Well, I left her over night so they could do blood tests and maybe give her something that she might eat. When I called, they said they had to call me back. When they did they told me she had feline Lukemia. The doctor is gonna give me some medicines to give her to try to build up her immune system. They told me that I could come pick her up after 6. The doc will go over it more with me then.

The vet didn't talk to me when I picked her up. They said over the phone that they were gonna try to boost her immune system, so they gave me some antibiotics and some vitaman and iron supplement. Both are given orally by a dropper. I have to pretty much get her in a headlock to give them to her. I looked up more about the feline leukemia on the net, and read that there's four ways the cat can react to the disease. The majority, 40%, the cat's immune system eliminates the virus. So, it's usually not as bad as it sounds. She's getting bettere already. She won't eat much, still. But sh'es getting around better.

Here's a tip on cat meds...

    1. Sit on floor and pet kitty to show you're not a bad person.

    2. Softly grab kitty by scruff of neck and lift his or her head slightly.

    3. Insert loaded eyedropper (you did remember to fill the eyedropper first, didn't you?) into corner of mouth near the back and slowly squeeze.

    4. Kitty will begin lapping motion with tongue and swallow medicine.

    5. Remove dropper, release kitty, and run like hell.

I lost quite a bit of blood perfecting this technique.

    You're welcome...

Well, she died about 30 minutes ago. I got home and set the groceries down on the porch to pet her, and when I did, that's when she went into a seizure.
