A quick question for you electrical geniuses. I received an Ryobi 18 volt battery charger as a gift from my in-laws. Will that work with a Ryobi 7.2 volt battery? I don't know if the charger would fry the battery or not. Thanks for any help.

It could, does it say 18V battery charger or just battery charger? The instructions should tell you.

The package reads 18v Dual Chemistry Charger. It says the output is 18v DC, 3A. I assume that pushing 18v through a battery that runs 7.2v would fry the battery, right?
