In my search for a sub compact CCW 9mm for summer carry, I found that for some reason I shoot a G26 better than pretty much every handgun I've ever shot. I found a like new Gen4 G26 for $450 which seems like a good deal and I'm considering purchasing it.

I've never owned a Glock and was wondering if thats a good price and what upgrades if any I should consider getting if I buy it.

Welcome to G.T. and good luck with your potential new Glock. I'd offer $400 then buy a good set of night sights.

That’s a fair price, especially if it has night sights. Night sights and possibly OEM extended controls are all I would upgrade on a carry gun.

Upgrades? 1 case ammo, a stack of targets, clean-oil pistol, Shoot 1000 rounds.
At this point clean inspect, and shoot 2-3 mags of carry ammo to make sure it works for you.
Now you are equipped to figure out any needed work. Be very careful on "upgrades". Many will fix it into unreliability. For the good and not so good, I find a Glock just fine in factory configuration. It is far from my favorite brand, but it's what I carry every day. Because-They-Work-Every-Time.
    Happy Shooting

    The price seems fair.

It still has OEM sights but they're going to eat the shipping costs. I think night sights are an important investment, there are just so many sight options for Glock. I'm liking the look of Ameriglo I-dots and Trijicon HDs so far.

The G26 is indeed a “sleeper”. It’s one of my favorite handguns, probably just because it shoots and carries so well.

When I can’t decide if a price is good, sometimes you just have to say, “Do I really like it, and can I afford it?” If the answer is “yes” to both questions, the decision is clear. :)

A lot of people say they shoot best with a G26. They can't explain it any better than I can. But I imagine it has something to do with hand size. Welcome to GT.
