How do you clip and paste a quote from a previous poster?
Hi there. There is a button on the bottom of a post that says "quote". Just click that.
And be sure to edit the previous quote to delete unnecessary verbage. There is nothing worse than seeing an entire long original post quoted and then the new poster just adds "I agree". ;Q
OK, you hit the quote button and a window comes up looking for you to type something in. Is there a way to paste it in from a previous quote, or do you need to re-type the whole thing?
If you click the quote button, the text that you want to quote should be in there. For instance, if I wanted to quote Texas T, I would have clicked the quote button below his post. I would then see the vb code that would allow me to quote his text without having to retype it.
If you want to quote someone from another thread (ie, if I wanted to quote from the homeschool thread and put it here), I would click the quote button from what I want to quote. I would copy the text that comes up. I would then go to the thread I want to put the quote in, click reply, paste the text I copied and there you have it.
Does that answer your question? If not, let me know specifically what you want to do.
Oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh! Thhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat quote button!
Thanks for the help!
Glad I could assist.
