I saw all three live in the same bar. The first two multiple times and they were always awesome.

Should have made it. Lots of energy live.

Sorta made it, but their major label broke their style and had them try to copy other bands styles. Here's an old song.

I remember seeing these guys live in a bar and thinking they were the worst show I've seen there. The next week they had a major record contract.

I was fortunate enough to attend all of jr. high and most of sr. high in lower Manhattan, NYC 1974-1977 (finished senior year on Nassau County, Long Island.) Of all the dive bands I saw and helped move equipment for, Blondie, Talking Heads and The Ramones rose to the top. Lou Reed, Velvet Underground, Television, New York Dolls and Dead Boys made their respective marks...but Sonic Youth and The Beasie Boys will always be the close seconds. Good times to be sixteen. The Wright Brothers.
They were-and I guess still are-a country/rock band, in the vein of the Eagles, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
Mrs N and I saw them perform all over Indiana. Bars in Indy, Anderson. Once at a campground outside Indy, once at Taylor University.
They finally went to Nashville, made it on a couple of TV shows, and were even in a main stream movie but for some reason did not take off.
They now perform with their adult children on occasion.
Here is a photo of them with Bob Hope.

I'm trying to figure out the meaning of this thread title. Even when I read it real slowly, and I imagine even if I were drunk, I still wouldn't be able to understand what the title means.
You have to consider the thread starter
