They are all sold pending funds!

    Thanks to all!!

Hey Guys my next door neighbor just happens to be an expert cabinet maker. I went to him asking him to make me a portable shooting bench.

It's similar to the Booger bench on the net. But we added a few extras like the rifle rest notches on the side.

He made me one and one for a friend they turned so nice I thought I'd share it with you guys. He uses cabinet grade plywood and only the best of materials. He said he would make one for any of my friends for $88.00 plus actual S&H charges of course.

(Due to the rise in the cost of materials the bench is now 88 dollars plus S&H

    Thanks,
    Chuck)

The materials run near 45 to 50 bucks I think so that's a pretty good price to my way of thinking. They will be ready for fine sanding and painting. We figured it best to let folk paint or stain as they see fit.

I'm going to camo paint mine, but some might like to stain and varnish to show the wood grain, if you do I suggest light stain so as not to absorb heat!

There's no hurry but as of right now there's no waiting period. I can't wait to get out and use mine.

It's 24" wide X 40" long 31" high collapsed it's 4" thick and weighs a little less than 20 pounds! All exposed corners and edges are rounded off.

I'm going to search that all out Monday will probably go with USPS Ups is too high. The box alone is going to cost $7.50 the shipping will probably be 10 to 17 $ depending on where you are.

Now that is just my uneducated guess so don't quote me. I'll know more Monday if you think you want one let me know and I'll work up an accurate estimate for ya!

After all I won't ship it to you till I recieve funds! LOL!

    Attention Everyone:

Rick is going on Vacation starting Friday his plans were made long before I approached him with this idea. He probably won't be back to full working order till after the 4th of July.

He nor I thought it would be a problem but we were not expecting as much overwhelming response as we've gotten.

We are putting out this statement so no one will get upset. He's making as many benches as he can before he leaves. But we've bought out all three Home Depot stores around here of legs and will place an order online for more.

As your MOs come in you will be next in line and we will take care of your orders on a first come first serve basis.

I don't know but I think a week or 2 is all anyone will have to wait. So far we're doing fine but I wanted you all to know that if half the orders come in that I've sent out estimates we will be looking at a couple of 3 weeks turn around time minimum.

If you remember in my first post I said Rick said he would make these for my friends at this price. I placed the post on several forums not expecting the response we've gotten. But I'm thankful to able to help so many all I ask is a little patience.

    Thanks,
    Chuck

    Attention Everyone:

We just opened a UPS account some folks have suggested it to me.

It'll take a week or so to get it started up so those of you who couldn't take the USPS prices and haven't sent your MO or checks yet contact me at...

huntinfool @ suddenlink.net take out spaces!

I might be able to save you a few bucks especially those far from me. It seems that brown may be better on long distances than USPS. I didn't see a lot of difference to those within about 700 to 1000 miles away. But it did matter for the long rangers.

    Thanks,
    Chuck

A guy on another forum gave us these tips.

If you would like to make your table adjustable for height, just get some 3/4" electrical conduit. The metal stuff. Cut it to the desired length and slide it into the bottom of your legs. I secured mine with self tapping screws.

Then put some cane tips (rubber) on the bottom of your new leg extensions. This will help stop the table from sinking into the dirt.

The leg extensions will put your table at a comfortable height for you. They can also make the table sit level if you desire.

Is it sturdy? My long shot to date is a prairie dog at 684 yards with my 6mm. Only took 2 shots. While certainly not concrete bench stable, it seems to be stable enough for my needs. And much lighter!

    Good shooting,

    Moose57

    Thanks,
    Chuck
