My wife has recently taken up running and likes to listen to music during her runs. She gets bored without it because she stays out about 90 minutes, running and walking. She uses a CD player at the moment but that has the obvious disadvantages.

What are the options out there for portable music? I've looked at this on the internet for a little while this morning and there are so many options that I think I need advice before making a bad move.

    Priorities are:
    1. Size / convenient attachment
    2. Stability / reliability (no skipping or other malfunctions)
    3. Cost
    4. Capacity (we only have 10-15 CDs total and she only listens to 2-3 consistently)

    Advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend buying your wife a MP3 player. You won’t have to worry about skipping or scratched CDs. 1GB should be big enough for her. With 1GB, you should be able to store 200 songs. Take a look at some of the smaller ones that won’t be to big or bulky for her.
