The word is: "cited", short for "citation"
And I said if they were outside of ANYONE'S property I am taking them and using them as target backers.
No one likes a spelling nazi, corrected for your comfort.
Everywhere is SOMEONE'S property.
Neighbor, county, state, highway dept, someone other than you.
If it's not your property, removing someone else's stuff without permission is called STEALING.
If you really want signs, campaigns often give them away for free before the election. Ask.
According to you.
Nope I'm just cleaning my neighborhood.
"The electric Trump sign was sweet, but it has an unlike button?"
It only shows "unlike" after you "liked" it. that feature is only visible to the person who cclicked "like" and allows you to change your mind.
Are you taking someone else's property without their permission?
I am keeping my neighborhood clean.
You need claymores.
Political signs are abandoned property after the election, anyone can help themselves and they're doing the candidates staff a favor, they won't need to stop and retrieve them. They're not going to re-use the sign anyhow, it says 2020 on it. Besides, if the sign is for an incumbent, it was probably paid for with your tax dollars. That makes you part-owner. That corrugated plastic stuff is the best for target boards. Enjoy.
I think something went over someone’s head. Mike, the way you worded it, if I put a sign in my backyard, since it’s outside of your property, and you’re included in anyone, you can come into my backyard and take it. Is that really what you mean? Did you mean if it’s outside of “everyone’s” property? Meaning it’s on property not owned by a homeowner?
If you place a 'snipe sign' on the right of way you are violating the city code. Who's crime is worse? the person littering public property or the person clearing the trash. The elections are over now throw the trash out or I will collect it and use it at my local rifle range as a target backer.
I fail to see how you are misunderstanding this.
Did you know that various cities have different codes?
Did you know that many of us are outside the city limits?
Did you know that one man's trash is another man's treasure?
Don't steal my trash, those were going to become MY targets, not yours.
Under FS 106.1435, a government entity is authorized to remove political signs from public property 30 days after an election, but not from private property.
Trespassing upon private property, even to steal political signs, is never legal.
Get off my lawn.
You aren't the government; ask your city clerk if you want an expired political sign removed from public property. The phone number for this in St Pete is (727) 893-7448.
Barbed wire might have prevented this.
See if rock salt is legal against trespassers before shooting anyone.
Hey, great idea !!.
I can't be cited for a code violation except within the confines of my own property.
Did he put them back? Think I already know the answer.
Funny but a good way to get sued.
Meh, lawsuits aren’t as easy as people make them out to be. Unless it’s a lawyer that’s the aggrieved party or someone really gets hurt they’re often more trouble than there worth. At least that’s my theory, otherwise I would have probably been sued a lot.
Well Chute in my town that is the rule and I will keep my neighborhood clear of snipe signage that is on town property. Should you like you can put whatever sign you like ON YOUR PROPERTY.
