I'm looking for pictures of Glock's that have had the black polished off of the slide.

As I understand, it it is only color and the Tenifer finish is impregnated into the metal so there is no loss of protection.

The EXO finish is not put on at the Glock factory.. Glock has only produced Black or grayish black Glocks to date...

Glock only makes black guns (used to make OD). Anything else is aftermarket or non-firing.

Here are some pictures of my G21SF which I semi-polished. I didn't go mirror. I just took the black off:

Polished frame? Its plastic duh!

If you want a polished frame buy a Gen 1, police trade in, or a heavily used Glock.

Now if youre talking Polished Slide, find a Glock EXO.

I did mine with a rag and some "Mother's Mag Polish", and I think it came out great. I'll try and get a better pic up later dis morn. These 2 are terrible, really.

There was just a thread last week on aftermarket finishes and how they might effect resale. Somebody posted up some serious mirror finish work that looked good. Not for me but it was mirror quality.

I'm totally on the ropes, because I'm the same way. I love the fact that my glock is all black, but I really, really love the look of a bare metal slide and/or barrel

How did you get that finish? Does it clean up easy after shooting it? Do chemicals harm it? does it scratch easily? How much was it?

Mirror polishing slide sides is easily done, but very time consuming.
Cleans up easily. Chemicals do not harm the finish, scratches rather easily if carried.
Holster marks will be the biggest issue. Can be done for less than $50 in materials
