Went into the local State Controlled Liquor store for my daily 750ml of Vodka today......(OK, Monthly bottle;))

Saw some LUKSUSOWA Polish Potato Vodka on sale for $13.95.

    Thought of Nestor.

    Bought it.

    Now drinking it.

    Here's one to you Nestor.

Pretty good Vodka...................Try it, if you get a chance.

All those "luxury " vodkas like Chopin and Belvedere cost here arm and a leg but in old country they cost just fraction of a price. Too bad, I would gladly support that industry but don't have this kind of cash buy that stuff.

    Thank you my friend.

Zdrowie wasze w gardlo nasze... or just Na zdrowie!

Good choice, and if you will ever see Polish "Bison Grass Vodka" other name - Zubrowka - buy it. It's my favorite. Take care.

Luksusowa is good. I also like Glacier potato vodka & it's made in Idaho.

If you've never had Chopin, you have to try it.

Shakers is made here in Minnesota and it is great. Shakers is made from Wheat, which,I believe, makes the best vodka. Wheat grown in that general area of Benson, Minnesota, as well as much of North and South Dakota is considered to be the best in the world.

That said- I think quite a few of the "premium" vodkas are nothing more than advertising and a neat bottle.

A while back on some channel, Food Network maybe? They had a taste test with some cheap vodka that had been passed through a Brita water filter pitcher and some expensive vodka. The testors said the vodka tasted the same. Has anyone ever done that? I might just go get a Brita and try it for myself.

I've tried most of the "Moderately priced" vodkas.

    I don't NORMALLY spend over $12-13 for a bottle.....

BUT, I'm going to try some of the suggestions posted here....after all, I'm on "vacation".

What's that one with the bowler Hat, Butlers?...

    THAT was some good Vodka.

What's the one in the TALL thin bottle?

I bought a "trial" bottle of it, and it was really good...but $30 per bottle.................Sheese!

I won a bottle of that at a poker night. When the host unveiled my prize I was a little skeptical. There's actually a big blade of grass in the bottle. I'm more of a scotch or whiskey guy myself, but it's some good "sippin' likker" out of a chilled glass.

Problem with Zubrowka in USA is that its not same stuff in as in Poland. Its changed and don't have same becouse of FDA. Polish vesrsion cannot be sold here becouse some kind ochemical from grass is in it that is not approved by FDA. It kills whole tase and US version takes like crap.
