I purchased one of the AIM Surplus G-19s advertised several weeks ago. I just got back from the sandbox and picked it up today. Despite issues that at least one other member posted I could not be happier.

WS prefix, August 1991, 2nd generation 2 pin frame. Minor holster wear, dead Trijicon night sights. The rear sight is positioned to hang over the right side of the slide, so either the shooter had issues or the sight was quickly changed before the pistol was surplused... and I could care less.

This looks like a solid weapon, and I will post a range report tomorrow.

Just push the sight back where you want it. A older Glock is desirable now IMHO

If the sights are trijicon they will replace the vials if you send the slide back, if I remember I paid 58.00 to have all 3 replaced.

A nice 2nd gen is good life insurance, my G-19 is a "GS" prefix, and i would bet my life on it. While I prefer my G-23, I am never feel slighted with my G-19.

I got one from AIMS when they ad them before and I'm pleased to report no brass to my face unlike the current 19s'. Glad you got back home. Enjoy your Glock.

The G 19 is the Glock of Glocks if you know what i mean by that. If you need one multi-purpose reliable pistol that will last longer than most humans, the G 19 is the way too go. I trust it with my life. Thanks for the report and god bless you for serving your country, you are very appreciated.

Drifted the rear sight back towards the center of the frame. Shot to point of aim. Have no idea why the sight was so far off the right side of the frame.

Perfect function through 200 rounds. Trigger breaks about 8 pounds, will have to fix that. Nice weapon, I like it.

I do not shoot this G19 as well as my G26, but I think it has to do with the trigger; the G26 has a very nice trigger compared to the new G19.

I took the NY spring out of mine that I picked up too. Didn't even want to try it.

I would bet the sight was drifted by the LEO that owned it before so he/she could qualify with it. Wouldn't be the first time I heard of that happening. (May neighbor is LEO and has told me numerous stories about this. Not just bashing)

Enjoy your G19 - it may well prove to better than a new one in the long run.
