The brutality and the horror is shocking. As if getting pepper-sprayed and tasered wasn't bad enough.

Before you know it, they'll be doing push ups on lava rock.

:animlol::laughing:

Next up....reciting case law while in front of a midget clown. :kidding:

I found that quite funny. I had a DI that could do a bug eyed look, it looked like his eyes would pop out. He had great fun doing any inspection. He would inspect then get real close to your face and do that bug eyed thing, got me every time.

Lame. They aren’t training for an honor guard or a drill team. We want officers to have total situational awareness and not lock their gaze on something for too long.

If the theory is that it will keep them from reacting to insults and yelling, getting them out in the world and talking with people is the best way to do that. Also treating them like adults throughout training, so they have less of a need to puff up and prove themselves. Accept them as a peer, albeit one who has less experience, and a mentee and they are much more likely to stay under control and not get into a pissing match when someone gets in their face.
