I have started a poll regarding a 20th Anniversary GSSF Glock, and it is a stickie at the top or this forum. Please cast your vote.

Just voted. Would love the Gen4 G17 with an extra G34 upper. It would be the perfect GSSF gun.

I guess I should have put my reply here: I already have a G17 with the Gaston Glock signature that was sold as the 20th Anniversary pistol. Wasn't that one out in 2006 or 2007? Maybe it was as far back as 2005, but it shoots great. I'll have to look at the dates on the pistol.

However, the vote idea is very good.

This pistol will commemorate the 20th Anniversary of GSSF, 1991-2011. Please post any additional comments here.

Come on folks, speak up and vote. I'd like to get at least 100 votes tallied. Last time, the pistols were offered at L.E. price, and I would hope for us to get the same deal if this idea goes through.

I voted - thanks Danny...

Two questions....

- The G17 w/ additional long slide, does this imply two complete upper slide assemblies...? i.e. a simple field strip to switch between...?

- How would purchase process work...? Send in our money w/ a copy of local FFL...? Or GSSF mails us a cert, and we order thru a local dealer, or subset, like the pistol purchase program.

Yes, the idea is for a complete Gen4 G17 with a complete G34 upper, ready to go and allow you to shoot in Am/Civ and Competition. The G34 slide would have to have a different serial number, like xxx* or xxx-1, but it would certainly become a valuable set. In the past, you sent payment plus your dealer's FFL to GSSF for processing. I would hope it might be handles the same way, with a commemorative pistol purchase form that you could download from www.gssfonline.com

Curator,

This plan is many, many months away fro fruition. If adopted, this plan would probably see delivery in December 2010 or January 2011. I'm sure the Gen4's will be CA approved by then.

Thanks for doing this Danny. I voted yesterday. I think it is a great idea, and the 17 with the 34 upper would be outstanding. I'm sure if they did it they would sell as many as they made.
