That country is such a hole. I can't blame anyone for wanting to leave.

A brave warrior, that lead the charge by herself.

Seeing all those wounds that she took, and she still never settled or backed off, speaks volumes about her heart.

    Sadly, she'll probably be forgotten.

Mexico may be a chet hole, but she was raised there and believed that things could change.

She is brave, but those "witnesses" that stood around and did nothing are cowards. This is why nothing will change until the people grow some balls.

Anyone think the lives of those who did that to her are worth more than my dog?

So you'd charge a bunch of guys with guns who have no qualms with killing people?

She was dead the moment the car was stopped. Everyone there knew it. Nothing could change that unless she had a swat team hidden in her back pocket. Best she could hope for is them not killing her daughter too.

You have never been in a situation like that (yes, I have). What you are saying is very far from the truth. Those folks know how pointless it would have been to attempt an intervention. Mexico's dumb gun laws are a part of the reason.

Those thugs would have shot you (but only a little, so you were barely conscious), found your family, shot all of them after raping the women repeatedly, burnt your house down, shot a neighbor for good measure, and rape a couple of 12-14 yr old girls before slashing their throats,

then go back to your yard, find your dog(s) and shoot that too.

I was thinking possibly decorating his lawn with his head, but I suppose your scenario is possible too.

Who really knows with these people. I've read of one murder where they sewed a guys face to a soccer ball.

So just sitting around and letting them have their way with the town and everyone is the way to solve the problem?

IMO, the only way MX is going to change is if the US goes in there and takes over.

That may include occupation, or us taking over the drug market there.

I may be wrong, but it's getting a little bit out of control, don't you think?

I don't believe that the 'people' are going to take MX back.

    why?

Well because the cartels are well funded, have explosives, heavy mg's, small arms, transport, coms, and back up.

Heck they can wipe out a town, before the masses organize.

What do you propose? The government stripped law-abiding citizens of weapons, so they'd be going against a veritable army completely empty-handed.

Call it cowardice if you want, but I'm more than 99% certain you'd have done exactly the same thing, regardless of what you say from the comfort of your La-Z-Boy.

Been following, narco violence for about two years now. Yet people voted for the lame duck and chief don't be surprised when it spills over to USA . Here's my favorite page to follow: NSFW heavy gore on archived pages.

Corruption is too embedded at all levels, best case scenario a bloody civil war where 80 percent of the population is decimated, and they can rebuild from there. With a new start

The thing is, you don't even realize that the thugs running rampart ...they have families too, and their families have to eat, and to eat they have to genuflect to whoever the local don is.

So...many of the people watching some thugs strip chicas out of cars and rape them are sometimes likewise as hardened as the thugs, and vocally or silently cheer the thugs on.

Why don't the people in N. Korea turn on the establishment?
