Most people wouldn't know a good torque wrench from a bad one. All the ones listed in the review are part of a promotional ad for Amazon that means very little. There's a very good chance there's more varaition with the user than the insterment. If you really want a good torque wrench look at CDI or SnapOn. Precession would also be a good choice but my exposure to them is limited. I'd avoid all the Wheeler stuff, Proto, Wright, and anything from the box stores.
Keep in mind when looking for one most are only accurate from 20% of scale to full scale. Some will have the scale extend below or outside of the range of accuracey or calbration. Most likely this will be below where you will set your torque value but if you buy one with a higher scale it may present an issue.
Keep in mind also that the certificate that comes with a torque wrench does not ensure it's accurcery or guarentee it's calibrated. Lot of people get confused on this point.

Remember when we used a quarter to tighten some of the scope mounts?

You want a torque screwdriver, not a torque wrench.
The screwdriver version measures in inch pounds which is what you need for scope mounting.
The build quality on this one is very good :
$63

Thank you all for more valuable info. I haven’t bought a torque screw driver yet. That Husky looks pretty good.

Fat Wrench is the standard and one has served me well. I heard the vortex torque wrench is better but it’s also 3 times the price.
Thank you. I will check out the Fat Wrench and the Vortex.

If you are in a budget… this Neiko made in Taiwan is the best value:

I have the fat driver. It was cheap. I have no idea how accurate it is, but I don't care. It's a lot better than nothing.

For whatever reason I recently compiled a spreadsheet with some common options. I happen to use a Wheeler FAT (analog) only because I need a Torque Wrench every once in a while for my optic screws, otherwise I'd go with something a bit less computed error.

Anyone tried Fix-it-Sticks? Wife got me a kit for my last birthday. I actually like them.
Old thread, I know. But, yeah... Fix-It Sticks are like crack for tool freaks. I started with the basic "all-in-one" kit:

It has grown to this!
