There are a few older games that i want to play over my lan. My lan however uses a tcp/ip protocol and these older games use an ipx protocol.
Is there a way that i can eaily switch between the two without haveing to reconfigure my newtwork adaptor and reboot each time? If i want to play one game i have to switch protocols on both machine, reboot, play and then change protocls again and reboot yet again.
Both machines are running windows xp and are connected by a wireless router.

You can't just enable the IPX network protocol and have the games use it when needed? You can only enable one protocol at a time? That's weird.

No, he just needs to install the IPX protocol under the properties of his Local Connection. there is no 'switching' protocols...the game should automatically use the protocol if its installed.

Like Diablo...it ran on IPX only, and there was no switching protocols...just make sure both are installed to start with.
