This I guess is not really a rack but a set of swingers. They are 8" plates and can be set any way I want them. The bullet splatter is directed to the ground and I don't worry about shooting up any bars or angles. I had these plates made at a local welding shop and the pipes came from the local hardware store. This setup works great, all I have to do is keep them painted. Total cost $137.60.

Looks like they should suite the purpose. Would provide many rounds of great practice. That's all you need.

    Thanks for sharing.

    5glock,

How are the plates attached to the horizontal bar. Neat looking setup! I've been using a 2X4 with paper plates stapled to it. Your setup is much better.

when i built my plate rack i considered making the plates non moving to eliminate the desire to watch them fall as i shot them. i figured if i set them angled down ward the splatter would be deflected downward and in effect it'd give me a thicker plate by being angled.

The hanger bar has a 1" hole drilled in the top and they fit over the 3/4" pipe. I hold them in place with a washer and hose clamp on each side of the hanger bar.

How are the plates attached? I have knock down plates I'd like to mount.

    Thanks.

The plates are welded to hanger bar. The bar has a 1"hole in it and fits over the 3/4" pipe that they hang from.:)
