So if you ordered pizza for delivery and they give you a 40 minute estimate for it to be delivered and it takes 90 minutes, what would you do?

Eat it from the crust end first and towards the point.

Did you pay by CC for it, if not I would have left after an hour of waiting and got something else. When we order pizza I go pick it up, 10 mins vs 1hour. Can order it, run to red box get a movie, cornor store for coke/beer, and grab pizza be back home in less than 30mins.

Why? It's not the delivery guy's fault if the cook didn't get it ready...

You better believe that customers' tipping habits are flagged and come up on screen when you order.

You think??? I kind of doubt PaPa Johns or whoever would allow employees to add notes in the computer that says wether someone is a good tipper or not.:dunno:

I agree with you, unfortunately we all know how this story goes. Waiter brings the food, the food sucks and the waiter gets the tongue lashing/whipping boy effect. Or the airline lost their luggage, most likely the baggage persons fault but the sweet old lady at the desk gets the psycho lady goes off on.

    This^^^.

I waited tables for 6 years through H.S and college. I always found it strange when customers would get pissed at me if the kitchen was backed up and it took a while to get their food.

    People are idiots.

I never tip the pizza guy, because I refuse to have a pie delivered.

I call them and pick it up 15 minutes later.

Yeah, my buddy who has the worst temper almost punched a guy for this because it was busy and the kitchen was backed up. Some people just dont understand that they have to wait sometimes especially if your at a good restaurant and its busy. Teaching common sense is not taught in school because the dean didn't have any himself

This place cuts their pizza into squares/rectangles. Sacrilege, right? :dunno:

    It definitely wasn't hot.

Paid by CC. I'm a bit more forgiving tonight because there was a big basketball game (UK v Louisville in final 4 game) for our region tonight and I'm sure they were slammed. However, if they were slammed, they shouldn't have quoted 40 mins.

The game was also the reason we did delivery.

Family members who work for Dominoes, friends who worked at Dominoes and Papa Johns. Different locations, 250 miles apart, and they all say the exact same thing.

We tip well and our pizza always arrives waaaay before the estimated time. Coincidence? Doubt it.

ETA: somebody who used to post here delivered pizza, pizzaguy for Dominoes or Papa Johns maybe?, and he also said that their customers' tipping habits were well flagged.
