My wife introduced me to them. How did I live without them? Man I can't stop eating them!!!;f
Walgreen's big bag for like $3.00...
Thank God they're low carb too... like Almonds...
The Wal-Mart ones are very good but the price is getting out of hand. A bag used to cost around 2.25. I think that they're in the $3-4 range now.
That still isn't bad considering that in the early 80's the cost of pistachios was astonomical. At that time Iran was the world's largest producer of pistachio nuts. California growers now account for a large part of US production these days.
Contains mucho information on the health benefits of eating pistachios. (they are high in anti-oxidants)
Good job Pont... I always wondered why they used to be so expensive and now aren't...
Beware the dreaded "green death" pistachio fart.
Sure a bunch of draft beer and a pound of pistachios seems like a good idea. Plan to spend some time outdoors. ;Q
You won't have any irregularity problems if you eat pistachios. ;C
Supermarket had 1 lb. bags of "stachios" for $4.99 that seemed a little steep so I passed. I'll check out Walgreens and Wally World.
I could always tell if my kids had raided my Pistaccio stash...pink thumbs!!
Now that they're grown I get the white ones....
The 99-Cents Only chain always has 5-6oz(?) bags hanging from point-of-purchase racks. Even after they're shucked, you end up with enough to satisfy the craving.
they're expensive here, about $3.99 a pound. the only thing i like more than pistachios are CASHEWS!!!!!! my problem is i can't put the bag down once i start. and cashews wreak havoc on my lower tract ;f , but well worth it!! ;f
Pistacio's, they use to be one of my favorite snacks.
After I found out I have diverticulitis they went to the no eat list.
Bought two 12 oz. bags yesterday at Walgreens for 5.00
bout the best price to be found around here. Only bad thing is the wife wanted to try one and now she is hooked on them.
Only one bag left and we have already opened it. Probably be gone by the end of the day.
Harris Teeter has a HUGE bag...already shelled. $5.00 Sunkist, I believe. The only problem is since they are already shelled, you eat them by the handful and at least once a bag you get one so rotten you have to go wash your mouth out. YUCK!!! Never have that problem when you shell 'em yourself. Guess I don't eat the dark, gross ones when I go at the one at a time pace!;0
I love them. They're great to take camping.
