Any Pinoy shooters in the Virginia-DC area? I use Shooter's Paradise in Woodbridge.
The club I belong to is in Charlottesville. ^c
Hampton roads area, (norfolk,va.bch)
Hey, I might be attending some training there at the end of MAY!!
My brother lives in Woodbridge. I'll be visiting him in June. Maybe we can meet up at Shooter's Paradise, when I get there.
That would be great...just let me know. Is your brother into the shooting sports as well?
No, but he does like to shoot for recreation (paper punching and tin cans). He's the one who taught me how to shoot (air rifle), some 27 years ago.
Do you shoot USPSA or IDPA? I shoot mainly USPSA.
I'll PM you when I get there. We'll shoot some matches together.
I have never shot for competition...although I would like to try. I mainly shoot handguns...I have a Taurus 357, Glock 19, Colt 45...I would like to get a Ruger 357 Single Action but that won't be for awhile. My wife is already giving me dirty looks about my "baril-barilan"....I live on Oakwood Drive in Woodbridge. Where does your brother live? Maybe we have seen each other in church or at the only Filipino store in Woodbridge.
Toledo- Which Taurus 357 do you have? How's the performance?
I have the Taurus model 65, 4 inch. I bought it used and had to send it back to Taurus for some trigger work. All in all, it is an accurate gun, specially with Sierra 170gr hollow points. I find that my own reloads are more accurate than factory ammo. The 65 shoots better with heavier bullets, at least the one I have does. I have shot around 100 rounds of realoaded ammo and about 250 of Winchester 110gr. I experienced lockup on the Winchesters about 5 times. I am new to reloading but from all the research I have done, reloaded ammo can be more accurate than the factory stuff as proven by my Taurus 65. If you're thinking about getting one, they are quite cheap. I bought mine at a pawnshop for $225...brand new is around $350.
CDNN have the Tracker model for $299.00, too bad they don't ship to Cali.
I have a M827 back in the Phil. Too bad I can't bring it over here.
California is terrible when it comes to gunownership. I saw that same Taurus from CDNN..it seems like a good deal but I have seen it go for $230 here in VA. Taurus makes good guns but I don't think I will be getting another one. I just prefer Ruger Revolvers. What kind of guns do you have? Go to Gunsamerica.com---they have a lot of good deals there.
