I usually use my AR10 when I hog hunt. I dont really think the AR15 is enough unless its a perfect shot. I have seen these hogs run for hundreds of yards after being blown to pieces with the .308.
Not saying you cant do it. I just dont.

Hear they are tough and I would hate to have to shoot something multiple times to kill it. I'm sure shot placement is going to be the key here. :dunno:

Check with your guide before going. Mine didn't allow AR's because he had seen too many run after being shot. I think his biggest complaint was too many of the shooters couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle. I got mine with a S&W 1006 standing on top of one brush pile shooting into another one.

What sucks is that here at work they filter any streaming video so I didnt get to see it. I thought you were asking a legit question.
    Oh well jokes on me.

I've killed 9 in the last two and a half to three weeks using 62 grain hollow points in my 14.5" AR. Every one required follow up hits. One, after being shot 5 times tried to get up and bite me as i approached him. I shot him in the head as he tried to get up and smoke came out of his nose/mouth!

On a side not, I have some 77 grain match hollow points I am going to try next.

Nice. Seriously, though...the Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf (www.alexanderarms.com) is one hell of a down and dirty brush gun. It's like having a .45-70 AR15 and makes a great hog gun.
