Recently added a Ed Brown tactical thumb safety and removed the extended slide stop. Also reblued the slide since the photo was taken. I also plan on re-contouring the grip safety so it will resemble a tactical bump style safety as soon as I get the balls to do it.
Same Colt, different grips.
Came across this today, had to get it Kimber RCP Ultra II - I do no tremember ever seeing one in person till today!
I planned to go shooting today but the damned lake effect snow says otherwise...

Are those VZ Recons or Gunner grips?
Both are Nighthawk grips.
I've tried the Gunners before and didn't care for them, they seemed to be soft to me. I'm not sure if they were older or newer. I know some of them have more ovals and are flatter, thus softer texture...at least to my hands.
If VZ made the Recons in black with a flat bottom, I'd have a set by now. Not sure why they don't...
And all that I have is two Springfield Armory M1911A1's! You sir, are a great shot with a camera as well!
