Got this one a couple weeks ago.
Hey didn't they pass a new law banning handguns in Australia?
Umm no, hence photo.
In 2003 they introduced new restrictions regarding pistols ie; limit to 10rd magazine capacity, barrel length must be greater than 100mm for revolver and 120mm for autos and restrict licence's for cal greater than .38 in pistols.
Gotcha, I didn't know if you were an LEO down there or something. I just thought I had seen something in the news recently.
Who makes those grips? I'd definitely like a set, but can't find anything that looks quite like that on the sites I've found so far.
Those look like Larry Davidson (Lazza) Horned Lizard Grips He'll mix and match or set them up anyway you want them. Great guy to deal with. Here's a link....
Bought this a few weeks ago, it's a very nice shooter and I really like the lighter weight.
I get so much email/pm about these grips. The mag button cut is something not a lot of folks is accustom to seeing, and they are not commonly offered in grips.
You just have to know what you want and to ask to have it done. I have done them to my other grips with a little more aggressive cut ( I have small hands ).
And yes, these are Lazza's Monkey grips in G10 aka Horned Lizards.
MD Customs ......Damascus Caspian
Matt truely does some amazing work.
Congrats nice rig you have there.
What mags are those?
Is it .45 or what caliber is it?
thanks, Kimber Ultra CarryII in 45ACP with flush fitting KimPro Tag mags...100% reliable. i also use factory Kimber officers mags with Wilson follower kits..... Les Baer disconnector/EB hardcore sear/ Colt commander hammer/ S&W slide stop/ thumb safety.
My most accurate .45 ACP:
S&W PC 1911.
Now that is a nice gun.
I've got the same gun and, yes, the Performance Center makes some great 1911s.
Congrats, that is an incredible looking 1911.
Whose frame is it?
Did he add the magwell, or was it part of the frame?
Who made the grips?
That's a Caspian Race Ready Recon frame.
Very NICE 1911 Rockdiver!
