Here's my first bobcat, and only kill of the deer saeson last yea (LOL)... shot about 30 feet out of my tripod with a 25 WSSM. Taxidermist did a great job, as the left front leg was only hanging from about 1.5 - 2 inches of skin .Weighed 19.6 lbs.

    Great looking mount.

Your taxi did an outstanding job.

I love the rock used for the wall hanger.

it's some kind of foam....really lightweight, but supposedly modeled from a real rock and it looks real, even up close

You mind tell us how much and who did this? Man I see that photo and want to go out hunt a cat tomorrow ;)

Bobcat starts back up Dec 1 and we have about 30-40 days depending on location to get our meow creature.

Very nice cat! I've been wanting to hunt bobcats here in Michigan for many years. While hunting snowshoe rabbits we always see their tracks in the cedar swamps. Seeing your cat is making me jealous!!

Bobcats are neat animals. Here's a picture of a couple I shot about 10 years ago. The small one was 19 inches tail to nose and the big one (its mother I believe) was about 40 if I recall correctly.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but it is hard to get a shot on a bobcat where I hunt in Kentucky. You can hunt them as long as another season is open pretty much, using whatever weapon is legal for that season. I've seen one once, I regret not shooting at it, but I think my 308 would not have left much for the taxidermist (I was deer hunting). I see tracks, but to actually see one, is rare.
