This is becoming a thing down here. We have a lot of RV and camper complexes and they are having tournaments where one complex competes against another.

To be honest, I'd never heard of it until a month ago, now it is everywhere. I did a job in an RV complex and they have like an hour slot for tennis on the bulletin board, the rest of the day the courts are reserved for pickleball.

I think you can fit two pickle ball courts on one tennis court, so more people get to play at once. Looks like tennis with less running and shorter distances.
And an excuse to sell new rackets (paddles?) and different balls.

We play several times a week either outdoor or indoor great game. Our park district has converted several tennis courts at two locations. Our group is all seniors. We have an email list and schedule times. There is probably 15 in our group. We have a lot of fun. No cost to playing. Just buy a paddle and some balls. Several from our group belongs to a church that has a nice gym. We have a portable net that we can set up real quick on the basketball court. We play in the gym during the winter, and on rainey days.

This was invented decades ago. They called it ping pong.
