They look great. I've been thinking about trader in my GSX-R1000 for one.

I'm moving up from 28 years as a rider, and 12 years as a top amateur motocross racer.
I'm finally old enough to afford, respect, and get insurance on a litre superbike.
With age comes the cash, insurability, and that little voice of reason in the back of your mind that keeps you from doing stupid things.
(at least that's what I've been telling the wife)

That's not the same red as the uummmm, whatever the first year the 636 in US was. I remeber at the dealership where my brother used to work at had a 636 in every color they had availible (there were like 5 or 6 colors that year). The red they had on that one was REALLY sweet. It was like the Ferrari F-1 red. The super bright red. It coud get your attention from a mile away. Ducati didn't have anything on this red.

Sorry to ramble on about a shade of a color, but it was really nice and I wish they had put it on more bikes.

Glad to hear it. Here's a snippet from a ride report posted on my usual forum today...

"It was a good ride and I learned several things today.

    1. The Z1000 tops out around 150 and is somewhat spooky.
    2. Wade's ZX-10R does not top out at 150 or anywhere near 150 for that matter.
    3. After spending some time on Wade's machine, I have determined that he is a contortionist. That is the only way to explain how his 6'4" frame fits on it.
    4. I am never allowed to own a ZX-10R......way too easy to get in trouble with that much power and that razor sharp handling."

Have fun with it, and be safe.

Sweet ride ^c At first I didn't care for the styling of those Ninjas, but it's really grown on me.

Congrats, NMGlocker. Did you buy it off Motorsports of Albuquerque on Montgomery close to San Pedro?

Very sweet, I almost bought a silver/graphite colored one a week ago. Stupid common sense kicked in and I kept my ZRX. Rode the ZX-10 and a 'busa, like the weight of the ZX-10, awesome bike.

My local shop had them on sale for $8999 last weekend. ;P

I picked it up locally, I'm down here in Hobbs.
I was looking all over for a 749 Ducati, but nobody had one in stock or even had a reasonable timeline on getting one.
The Kawi will hold me over until a good Duc comes along.
    .
I changed my mind on the ZX10R color, it's Mean Green now.
The more I thought about it, the more I wanted a Green Kawasaki.
Kawasakis are green, Ducatis are red, it oughta be a law.

You could have bought a Duck out-of-state and have it trucked in. But that ZX10 will tear up any Duckies and then some. Well, maybe not the 999R on the track, but 99% of other Ducks.

If PJ's Triumph & Ducati in Albuquerque can't help you, let me know. I can get you contacts with a couple of good SoCal dealerships that you can wheel&deal with.
