I went and got my 92A1 out of jail - I mean lay-a-way. It's the newest railed model Beretta just released about 2-3 months ago. It has a dovetailed front sight, a recoil buffer, and a rail with a curved trigger guard. Gun is very nice and is made in Italy.

I cleaned the gun prior to the first shooting, and put Hogue grip panels on it...

Gun shot great. 100% reliable. I put 150 rounds thru it.

The rear sight is too far to the right, by just a hair. I brought my 90-Two to compare, and I shot that one dead center. So, I know it's not me. You can barely tell that the rear sight is just barely not centered.

This weekend, I'll take it to a local smith and have them fix it for me I think.

Anyway - here is a pic of the set now :)

Awesome!! I've wanted a 92 for a while now but have always held off. The rail may put me over the edge! Nice collection!

You just HAD to go and post a pic of that Steel I, didn't ya?

Bac, your not making it any easier on me, to keep myself from buying that .40 cal Beretta Steel I off of GunsAmerica.....$1200.....must.....not.....buy it. :faint:

Seriously though, you have a beautiful pistol. Since I got my 96 Vertec last week, I've come to appreciate the fact that Beretta makes a beautiful pistol.

Haha, yea, I know. I may get one eventually. I generally prefer Hogue grip panels, and they don't make them with the frame safety - And, I also am not a fan of the Vertec grip. I had a Vertec many years ago for a while, and I prefer the regular grip.

I think I reallyw ant a Billenium, but man they are high now.

The Billenium is a little too blingy for me, which is why I prefer the standard Steel.

Of course, prices on both have gone up a bit.

Congrats on the new 92. I've been a Glock fan (still am), but I'm becoming a Beretta fan since my purchase of a 92FS earlier this year. I would like a M9A1 or a 92FS Inox. For the price you pay, they are very smooth guns.

Now you need an original 92S, it's still my favorite. Similar to the "pre B" CZ 75, the 92S just looked great with its heel mag release, blued finish and rounded triggerguard. Very nice set you have!
