Saturday I visited my LGS and they had an FN 509, after handling it and a couple dry fires, it followed me home. Sunday I fed about 200 rounds thru her with no issues, great sights and trigger. With large backstrap installed fit my hand perfectly, cant wait to visit the range to see how accurate I shoot this pistol. It has been a while since I made a firearm purchase and have had nothing to complain about :) IMG_2785.jpg

Good for you, best wishes with it!

I find the FN pistols to be both very well made and highly underrated.

    Congratulations, OP.

I have an FNS-9 full size and FNS-9 compact, which are really close to your 509. A lot of polymer framed striker fired handguns have passed through my hands in the last 5-6. Some of them stayed and other passed on through. My two FNS handguns are keepers.

May you shoot your new FN in good health.

    I’m a fan. I handled one yesterday. I currently have an FNS-9C and a FNX-9. My problem is I want a FN 5.7 and a FNX-45. Decisions, decissions

    The P229 snorts derisively.

Thanks! I have done the same but all are now sitting in my safe! I will probably dig them out and sell them one day.

Bought a 509 a month or two ago, still in the box. To many purchases, not enough time!!!

My wife and I both have one. My only complaint so far is the magazine is difficult to eject.

I'm thinking it will lighten up along with the slide lock. They were probably designed that way for military use, accidently dropping your mag is not something you want happening in combat!

Man, some people. New guns almost never make it home before I shoot em, the range is on the way!

Unfortunately it is not the only unfired gun i have. 7-10 hand guns and 6-8 long guns. Thrill of owning but cant find or make time. Must be time to sell some.

Do you know if the FNS mags are interchangeable with the 509?
