It’s in excellent condition with Tupperware box, manual, loader etc. serial # BWDxxx. I think at $385 I did pretty good. For what it’s worth love reading all of these threads and have learned so much from all of you. I also know I bought a gen 3 but gen 2.5 sounds better. Lol.

I think the 26/27 was the first gen 3s. It looks like box wasn’t changed to accommodate the finger bumps until later when the 17 or 19 came out.

Yours is one of the earlier it because it is only lightly textured between the finger bumps instead of having grooves in it.

The manual is dated 96 but has the pics of all the Gen 2’s. So yes it is an early model.

Its a gen 2.5 not a gen 3. It is early cause that is marked 40s&w. Mr Glock took the s$w off the slide on the later ones. Nice score for that price. Id a bought it, but thats just me.
There was a guy had a 26 and a 27. Both gen 2.5 guns but no owners manual for either. Wanted 500 a piece. I was wanting the 26 but didnt buy it. Im still thinking about the 27 though.

So right around that time we saw some inconsistencies in the cases. Some pistols with finger grooves in cases with the straight vertical support in front of the grip, and some Gen 2 pistols in cases with the 'wavy' vertical support. Crazy times, they were.

HI J, my EDC is a 2.5 gen G-27 "BSA" prefix of Jan 1996 manufacture, yours May of 1996, by the way the Glock part #7151 (+) bottom ads a better grip and one more round and was made for them, its surface is slick also, to match the slick finger grooves.
Most of my family is from SE Mich also (Hillsdale County), but my folks moved to Detroit where I was born.

Enjoy the Baby Glock Bulldog, Glockstore has the OEM slick base and wedge insert at a good price.
